California is working on hundreds of projects to improve water supplies, reduce wildfire danger, and clean up hazardous materials. All of these efforts aim to make communities healthier, greener, and safer. As part of the state’s climate strategy, California is also working to protect and restore natural areas, including conserving more than 1 million acres of land by 2030 to support wildlife and help communities adapt to climate change.
