Bringing meaningful improvements to culvert and weir infrastructure
This grant supports projects that replace, remove, and repair culverts and weirs to improve and restore fish passage.
The Office of the Secretary's National Culvert Removal, Replacement and Restoration program provides supplemental funding for grants to a State, local government, or an Indian Tribe on a competitive basis for projects that replace, remove, and/or repair culverts or weirs.
The National Culvert Removal, Replacement, and Restoration program includes projects that would meaningfully improve or restore fish passage for anadromous fish, infrastructure improvements to facilitate fish passage around or over the weir, and weir improvements.
