NEVI focuses on enhancing electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, focusing on public and commercial vehicle operators.
The National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Formula Program (NEVI) provides funding to States to strategically deploy electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure and to establish an interconnected network to facilitate data collection, access, and reliability. Eligible projects must be directly related to the charging of a vehicle and only for EV charging infrastructure that is open to the public or to multiple authorized commercial motor vehicle operators. Projects are subject to minimum standards and requirements established by the Secretary of Transportation.
